Global Fashion New York Inc and Fashionjunkii will be hosting a Charity soiree during Fashion Week to benefit The Murungu Primary School Project in Tanzania on Thursday, February 16th at Studio XX1, 59 West 21st street, New York, New York. The theme is A NIGHT OF FASHION FOR PHILANTHROPY: "Better schools Better education Project", celebrating fashion for a Good cause to benefit the Murungu Primary School in Tanzania.
The soiree will feature fashion presentations,designers auction, cocktail reception, music and networking. There will also be suprise guests for the night so you definetly don't want to miss it.
Kitenge ( plural vitenge in Swahili ) is an African garment (similar to kangas, sarong and kikoy) but a little thicker and comes in vibrant colors and bold patterns. The event will take place during World Water Week at the St. Regis Hotel. The black-tie event will feature a cocktail reception, art auction, live auction, dinner and entertainment. Reception & Silent Auction will start at 7:00pm and Dinner & Program at 8:00pm . I am kindly asking you my dear friends to come out and support the cause. In the past the event had been hosted in Boston and I know most of you were not able to go to attend.
