I had the opportunity to interview Duncan Daniels, a U.S based artist with Nigerian descent who currently resides in NY. Duncan has been nominated for best U.S based male artist at the 2011 Nigerian entertainment award , please read on to learn more about him.
Fashionjunkii: Please tell us more, who is duncan daniels?
Duncan Daniels: I'm a Music Producer, Singer and Song Writer
FJ:How did u get started in ur career, please tell us a little bit more about the kind of music you make.
DD:I started early at age nine when I had grown an interest with the Piano instrument, ever since then the desire to create music has always been my passion. My music could be any genre. I classify it as Music pleasing to the ear hence Alternative Pop Music
FJ: I understand you have been nominated for Best U.S based male artist at the 2011 Nigerian Entertainment Awards , how do you feel about that?

FJ:Where do you get your every day inspirations?
DD: From everyday events...most recently I love to write music that reflect Love and lifestyle in a positive sense.
FJ:What keeps you going in your career?
DD:The love and passion I have for it builds my drive. I don't know what I'll do without music.
FJ:Fashion-wise,what is your ideal style?
DD: I like Simple fashion... I love to rock LRG, Society, Luis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs
FJ:What is the biggest splurge in your wardrobe?
DD: Hmmm I guess that would be my Red Louis Vuitton Kanye Sneakers ,yeah its a collector item I rarely wear out. Also
my Louis Vuitton 'Evidence'pair of sunglasses.
FJ: As an artist, I understand you have to have a certain image, are you a trend setter or a follower?
DD: Definitely a trendsetter.....but sometimes in order to be a good leader you first have to be a good follower "wink"
FJ:When you are not in the studio , you are :
DD: Taking Pictures, hanging with friends and Performing.
